Tech Lead

Hey! We are Heureka Group, the biggest e-commerce platform in the CEE region, used by more than 20 million users - and our Search team's purpose is to help our users find what they are looking for fast and easy!

The search team is working together from Prague (CZ), Budapest (HU) and Ljubljana (SI) offices, so we’re communicating in English and we’re looking for a new Tech lead. Since we are an international remote team, we don't require your presence in the office (but if you wish, our new offices are entirely at your disposal)

Technically is the Search mainly about backend services that deliver hundreds of millions of products to millions of users. We utilize a massive Elastic Cluster and Machine Learning algorithms to achieve this. 

Technologies, we use and we would help you get to know them:

• Python
• ElasticSearch
• Terraform
• Kubernetes
• RabbitMQ
• Google Cloud Platform

What do we expect from you:

• Good knowledge of Python or similar language (e.g. PHP, nodeJS or Java);
• Database awareness - experience with a NoSQL database is ideal;
• Knowledge of tools and technologies such as GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns (don't  worry, we're not looking for a graph algorithm expert, but we'd love to talk to you about it);
• English B2 level language - you will communicate in English on a daily basis, as our team is international

• Messaging (RMQ, Kafka, …)
• GCP/Azure/AWS experience
