Digital Platforms Expert (m/f)

We’re looking for a top-level Digital Platforms Expert to help shape and deliver our customer-facing digital channels– including web, mobile apps, self-service, and e-commerce. You’ll work on critical transformation initiatives such as CRM modernization, microservices architecture, and integration with SaaS platforms.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who combines deep technical skills with strong architectural thinking and thrives in cross-functional enterprise environments.

What you’ll be doing

• Co-designing and delivering core services that power our digital channels – from e-commerce and self-service flows to mobile and web applications – ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and customer-grade security.
• Participating in key enterprise-wide initiatives such as:

o        Replacing Siebel CRM with microservices-based domains

o        Rebuilding the digital experience platform layer for web and mobile

o        Decommissioning legacy integration platforms (e.g., TIBCO)

o        Establishing security standards for public-facing APIs and identity flows             

• Hands-on development of microservices using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes), integrated through event streaming and cloud APIs.
• Collaborating with front-end, mobile, architecture, and business teams to ensure alignment across domains and reliable delivery of end-to-end customer journeys.
• Supporting integration with third-party SaaS platforms – e.g., notification systems, analytics tools, customer support and identity providers.
• Applying security-by-design principles in everything you build – from authentication and access control to inter-service communication.
• Acting as a go-to technical authority in the Digital Platforms domain – sharing expertise, mentoring developers, and shaping architectural decisions.

What we’re looking for

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API design, Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud platforms(preferably AWS).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven experience working on digital products – such as web portals, mobile apps, or e-commerce platforms – and their technical foundations.
•  Ability to design secure and scalable APIs, manage integration flows, and ensure data consistency across services.
• Experience integrating with third-party tools or SaaS platforms is a strong plus.
• Strong grasp of security in digital platforms – including OAuth2, identity management, secure API access, and cloud-native security practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across both technical and business stakeholders.
• Self-driven and proactive mindset – able to lead by expertise, not hierarchy.
