Tribe Voice & Messaging is responsible for the design, development, planning, validation, and operation of all voice and messaging platforms within DT Technik’s fixed and mobile networks throughout their entire lifecycle. We provide innovative and reliable state-of-the-art services to our customers.
The Squad CMS (converged messaging solution), as part of Tribe Voice & Messaging, is responsible for the complete lifecycle of telecommunication messaging systems running within VmWare, Openstack, and K8s clouds. This includes lifecycle operations (deployment, re-configuration, etc.) of virtualized and containerized network services (VNFs, CNFs).
The Squad (as a DevOps team) utilizes agile tools and methodologies to maintain and improve the CI/CD ecosystems in close collaboration with system vendors and other internal DTAG teams. One of the next significant challenges for us is to develop a new messaging platform based on DT Technik’s CaaS Kubernetes platform as part of DT Technik’s Cloud Booster Program.
To accompany us on this challenging endeavor, we seek a dedicated and motivated engineer to join our team.
What you will do
As a DevOps Engineer you develop advanced technical solutions for the expansion and operations of the infrastructure / services and help raise these to the next quality level.
- Support complex projects in development, quality, planning and implementation
- Plan the automation of services, processes, and operation models
- Conduct error analysis and troubleshooting sessions as well as performance analysis and optimization measures
- Support and validate (test )the automation of deployments in all system environments
- Prepare and administrate the project specific infrastructure and tool suites for integration and delivery
Required knowledge and skills
- Attitude, motivation, and the drive to delight our customers
- Solid experience and knowledge of LINUX, TCPIP and relational databases
- Experience with programming or scripting languages (Python, Ansible or bash)
- Knowledge and experience in concepts of cloud native application and container platforms, Both OpenStack and Kubernetes (K8s)
- Solid experience in developing and documenting complex, technical concepts/specifications, and requirements for a system
- You enjoy diving into new technical concepts and can share the knowledge with the team
- Solid experience in steering projects from a technical point of view
- English level C1 expected, German level B1 considered an advantage
- You are accustomed to work in geographically distributed team using online tooling such as JIRA, confluence Wiki, Sharepoint, teams, Webex and alike.
