Join our team and become a part of a project of our customer revolutionizing electric vehicle charging by building the largest, fastest, and greenest highway charging network across Europe, accessible to all electric cars. The customer has developed cutting-edge 350 kW charging stations and the sophisticated software that powers them.

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be a key member of a dynamic Scrum team, collaborating with developers, business testers, test automation engineers, and other members such as the Product Owner to deliver exceptional user experiences. Each team focuses on a specific area of the platform, such as charging, payments, or invoicing.

Your responsibilities

  • design, development, and maintenance of test automation solutions to support development teams with continuous deployment
  • collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Architects, and the Development Team to understand functional and technical requirements
  • identify opportunities for automation, prioritising coverage based on acceptance criteria, business value and potential impact of automated testing
  • identify critical test scenarios, prioritize testing activities, and determine appropriate test coverage for requirements
  • plan, design, and execute test cases, leveraging both manual and automated testing techniques
  • develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to support regression testing
  • record test results, promptly report defects, and ensure they are tracked, managed, and resolved effectively
  • engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing practices, tools, and processes

 

What do we expect?

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with good knowledge of different test levels such as functional, integration and system tests
  • proficiency in different test design techniques
  • hands-on experience with test automation tools, programming languages, and frameworks such as Selenium, Junit, Ruby, Java, TestNG, Cypress, or Appium
  • solid technical expertise in backend testing, such as web services testing (REST/SOAP)
  • familiarity with Agile Software Development (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe), including understanding the role of testing in quality-focused agile development projects
  • strong communication skills for handling verbal communication with the team and the stakeholders
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or Agile Tester Foundation Level
  • fluency in English, and German will be an advantage
  • nice to have:
    • hands-on experience with database systems and the SQL language
    • experience (or knowledge) in mobile application projects
