SAP Basis – Platform Management Administrator

About

We are looking for SAP Basis Administrator, who will join our team to support customer within the SAP environment and infrastructure with the basic knowledge of Linux, Networks and Cloud.

Your responsibilities

• Coordination of installation, configuration, integration, upgrades, and testing services for new projects, as well as ongoing maintenance of SAP environments delivered by third-party providers.
• Problem resolution with external service providers (SAP Basis, OS, DB, network).
• Development of measures to enhance system stability and performance.
• Monitoring and supporting system interfaces.
• Supporting monthly release management (change management, CHARM).
• Administration of HANA and cloud systems.
• Managing complex infrastructure requirements and changes across multiple projects.
• Planning and managing SAP projects in alignment with business needs.
• Conducting error analysis, troubleshooting, and health checks of SAP applications.
• Planning and coordinating maintenance activities related to patch management (OS, DB, SAP systems).
• Focusing on the resolution of escalated issues.
• Delivering application enhancements, the latest updates, and patches.
• Raising service requests for third-party service providers.
• Taking the lead in resolving system issues and urgent requests.
• Ensuring SAP systems comply with Quality and Information Security regulations.

What do we expect?

• Experienced in SAP Basis for both ABAP and Java systems.
• Proficient in operating systems, including Unix, Linux, and Windows.
• Possess detailed, in-depth knowledge of SAP Basis, platform technology, and standards.
• Experienced in performing standard SAP Basis tasks.
• Understand the transport management system between SAP systems.
• Familiar with the SAP Marketplace.
• Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
• Experience with ServiceNow and other corporate tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capable of taking initiative and demonstrating proactivity, with a clear understanding of desired outcomes.
• Should be not only an outstanding team player but also willing to take on a leadership role.
• Should be able to showcase strong, in-depth expertise in the technical SAP Basis field.
• fluency in English, and German will be an advantage
