The Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to play a critical role in supporting high-profile initiatives across our international businesses. The role will act as a key link between finance and business operations to ensure financial planning and analysis effectively supports the execution of strategic initiatives.

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for aggregating and validating budgets in multiple markets across Europe, ensuring robust financial governance and strategic alignment. Additionally, the role will provide support in specific finance aspects of initiatives, including in areas such as tax considerations (co-ordinating with the Head of tax) and implementation in local markets (co-ordinating with individual markets). The individual will also contribute to the creation of governance papers for management, providing analysis and narrative to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Work closely with multiple European markets to consolidate and oversee programme budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to financial governance.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Partner with the Programme Management Office and key business stakeholders to translate commercial strategies into actionable financial plans. Challenge financial assumptions, assess risks, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Strategic Modelling: Facilitate discussions with functional leaders to understand business initiatives, break down financial impacts, and articulate how they contribute to long-term strategic goals.
  • Performance Tracking: Provide consistent financial performance insights throughout programmes, ensuring alignment across all workstreams.
  • Governance & Board Reporting: Support the creation of governance papers, presenting clear financial insights for executive decision-making.
  • Finance Project Coordination: Assist with financial project-related tasks, such as addressing tax considerations and supporting local market implementation efforts.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, or in a Group FP&A role, preferably within an international or multi-entity organisation. Consumer sector background preferable but not a necessity.
  • Strong background in financial planning, with experience managing budgets across different geographies.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large datasets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with governance reporting and summarising to executive-level documentation.
