Do you have experience with on-prem databases, DWH, and data modeling? Are you wondering how to make the best use of this experience in the cloud world? If you are also excited about working with data, we might have an interesting opportunity for you.

As a Senior Data Engineer with a focus on on-prem to cloud and data modeling, your main role will be transforming data. You'll create and improve data pipelines, solve complex data problems, and build robust data solutions. You will guide our major customers through their digital transformation projects, helping them make the best use of their on-premise and application data by leveraging modern open-source technologies in a cloud-based environment. You’ll bring the best of the SQL and Python/PySpark worlds and tackle complex data engineering and data modeling tasks to enable AI use cases.

  • We build strategic relationships with our customers, consulting on all critical data topics – cloud-based data platforms, data governance, data modeling, on-prem to cloud integration/migration, large-scale data engineering, cost and performance optimization, and more.

  • Project teams typically consist of 2–5 members (analysts, engineers, data scientists, and a project owner/ project manager).
  • Our goal is to prepare our customers for all data and AI use cases, thanks to our unique combination of data engineering and data science expertise within the company.
  • Most of our projects are in the banking, insurance, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and retail sectors. Our customers value long-term, stable projects and relationships.
  • We spend most of our time working remotely or from our offices in Prague (near the Muzeum metro station) or in Brno (at ImpactHub). It's up to you which work setup you prefer.

 

💪 We are looking for you if you

  • have profound and demonstrable knowledge of Python/PySpark and SQL.
  • have experience working within at least one of the global cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • have tackled large databases, data models, or data integration/ on-prem or cloud migration projects, including experience with Teradata.
  • are fluent in English, both spoken and written. We work on international projects with people worldwide, so English is essential.
  • what you don’t know, you’re eager to learn. The entire team and our internal Academy, with a wide range of certification training (e.g., focused on Databricks), are at your disposal.
  • have experience guiding customers through digital transformation projects and addressing their needs effectively.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience working with data specific to one or more of the following industries: Finance, Insurance, Retail, Manufacturing, or Pharma. Having experience with Databricks is also a plus.
