Join our Engineering Department as a Junior R&D Engineer for Electronics and Mechatronics Development and be a key contributor to our innovative projects!

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Take ownership of projects, working independently with significant freedom to implement your own ideas, while ensuring responsible execution to deliver high-quality results.
  • Design, develop, and test electronic components, circuits, and PCBs for diagnostic instruments, including component selection, evaluation, and integration with other systems.
  • Develop and maintain basic firmware for those electronic components and PCBs and modify existing firmware to ensure effective communication between hardware and software.
  • Plan, design, assemble and build experimental setups for testing and validation, including sourcing components, cabling, soldering, and programming controllers.
  • Create custom tools and equipment for production and R&D purposes, containing electronic circuitry as well as designing and manufacturing hardware parts.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of prototypes to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Document development processes in accordance with regulatory standards and assist in technical integration with other subsystems.

What are the requirements?

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or a related engineering field, or demonstrated proficiency and experience in described tasks.
  • Strong ability to work independently and proactively with a problem-solving mindset, including the capability to self-study and acquire new skills for complex projects as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficient English for collaboration and documentation purposes.
  • Basic experience in programming languages like Python, C, or .NET.
  • At least some previous experience with electronics design and assembly as well as programming and working with microcontrollers.
  • Experience with simple CAD design, 3D printing on FDM and SLA is helpful.
  • Knowledge of control theory, control systems, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART) is of advantage.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain thorough documentation.
